In NEWTON County – our RIVERS are ALIVE with activity in 2014!
Yellow River Water Trail Rivers Alive Clean-Up- Saturday Oct 11.
Yellow River Water Trail team location: Porterdale Landing- Porterdale Yellow River Park in Main Street Porterdale GA.
Date: Saturday 10/11/14
Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm
How can you help with cleanup – stewardship – volunteer?
Join the YRWT team for their biggest community event of the year dedicated to cleaning our streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands. In partnership with City of Porterdale, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Rivers Alive, Keep Covington Newton Beautiful, Georgia Wildlife Federation and South River Watershed Association – They hope to have TEAMS hitting hot spots of trash accumulation ON river and OFF river ALL over Newton County. Want to be part of our team?
1) Grab your friends, co-workers, family, kids. Form your group.
2) What’s your group name?
3) Need a boat ? Contact an outfitter or borrow- make a plan.
4) Come join. They’ll have Adopt-A-Stream present they’ll be SURE you are registered for a TSHIRT!
The YRWT team staging location will be on the side of the beautiful Yellow River Water Trail. Please note – if you register direct with KCNB, please check-in at their location….. this is the YRWT Team signup).

Thank you to Keep Covington Beautiful and Georgia Wildlife Federation. The Yellow River Water Trail Team is excited to be a part of keeping Newton County rivers clean. They hope to one day paddle trash FREE.
