August 16, 2016

We know our paddlers love to take pictures while enjoying the great outdoors, so why not enter yours into a contest?!

The Metro Water District Announces the 2016 Water Reflections Photo Contest!

DEADLINE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH!!!!

Metro Atlanta is home to many beautiful bodies of water, including Lake Lanier, Allatoona Lake and the Chattahoochee, Flint, Yellow and Etowah Rivers. These lakes and rivers provide Metro Atlantans with more than just recreational and photo opportunities, they also serve as valuable resources for our region’s water supply!

The Metro Water District is looking for beautiful photographs that promote awareness of the need to protect our shared water resources for its annual photography contest.

Winning photographs will receive a cash prize and an annual membership for Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites (new this year!), and they will be included in the 2017 Water Reflections Calendar.

Entries should capture the beauty, heritage, activities and character of metro Atlanta’s water resources!! An additional prize will be awarded this year to the photo that best highlights stormwater pollution prevention!!
